THROWBACK THURSDAY The Fish Drill Team was created in 1946. To avoid placing Freshmen with upperclassmen, many of whom were World War II veterans, Freshmen lived at the retired Bryan Air Force base 12 miles from campus. In their down time, Freshmen began the Fish Drill Team. This is an all Freshman rifle drill unit composed entirely of Freshman Cadets. They compete in precision drill competitions around the United States and have won the Tulane NROTC National Championship almost every year since
